Weather radar is a type of radar used to locate precipitation, calculate it's motion and estimate its type (rain, snow, hail etc.) Radar reflectivity is actual measured data, not forecast predictions, hence data only appears for time in the past. Radar data is updated every 10 minutes, therefore will lag 'current time' by up to 10 minutes. To go directly to the latest Radar update, double-click the clock icon in the top-left of the map.
RainViewer (www.rainviewer.com) recieves data from a variety of weather radar data sources (shown in the map) and creates one large and highly accurate precipitation map for the covered areas.
A special thanks to Oleksii Schastlyvyi, founder and developer of RainViewer, who has kindly allowed Flowx to use their data.
